TurnSignl Appoints Jazz Hampton as CEO & General Counsel
Twin Cities, MN Jan 7, 2021–TurnSignl announced that the Company’s Board of Directors has appointed Jazz Hampton as CEO and General Counsel. He will assume immediate leadership of the Company as well as his General Counsel duties. Hampton is an adjunct professor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. He is an Emerging Leader within Twin Cities Diversity in Practice and the Co-Chair of DRI’s Young Lawyer Diversity Committee. Hampton sits on the Board of Directors at the Academy of Holy Angels and serves as the liaison to their Cultural Awareness Committee.
Prior to joining TurnSignl, Hampton was the Director of Diversity and Inclusion and a practicing attorney at Foley & Mansfield, a national law firm with 150+ attorneys. Hampton provided strategic leadership through developing firm-wide objectives, tracking progress, and planning education. He focused his legal practice in the areas of business/commercial litigation, construction defect, and product liability defense. Hampton clerked with 3M’s General Counsel and represented numerous clients as a certified Public Defender in both Anoka and Ramsey County. He also worked in the Community Justice Project legal Clinic, providing at-risk youth with legal services, case management, and general support.
Hampton holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas, where he majored in Computer Science Information Systems and minored in Business Administration prior to graduating from the University of St. Thomas School of Law. Hampton’s rich experience in the legal field, diversity and inclusion, computer science, business administration, and serving at risk populations makes him the ideal candidate to lead Turnsignl. TurnSignl is a Minnesota-based tech company that provides real-time legal guidance from an attorney to drivers, all while their camera records the interaction. TurnSignl will launch in Minnesota in early 2021 and will expand continuously to additional markets.

Additionally, Andre Creighton will take on the role of Chief Financial Officer & Interim COO, and Mychal Frelix will be the Company’s Chief Revenue Officer & Interim CTO. Co-Founders Hampton, Creighton and Frelix are Minnesota-born and raised business professionals.
